Pikaboost 2 has two independent battery monitoring systems - one in the main unit and one in the battery itself.
We recommend charging the battery via the charging port at the rear of the PikaBoost by using a PD3.0 charger and checking the power level using the four orange rear LEDs on the device.
While it is also possible to charge through the USB-C port on the battery, please note that the battery’s built-in LED indicators may not show an accurate power level, because discharging through PikaBoost bypasses the battery’s internal coulomb meter.
The four LEDs on the battery are primarily intended for standalone use (for example, when the battery is used as a power bank). If the battery LEDs show an inaccurate level, it will not affect normal charging or discharging. Performing a full charge and discharge cycle via the battery’s USB-C port will recalibrate the LED indicators.
